Question 1

What is AEO and how is it different from SEO?

Accepted Answer

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — sometimes called GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — is the discipline of getting your brand recommended by AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI Overview. SEO got you ranked in Google's blue links. AEO gets you cited when the AI answers the question for the user. With more than 50% of searches projected to happen inside AI assistants by 2028, it's where the next decade of organic traffic is being decided.

Question 2

Which AI engines does Rank Monster track?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Google AI Overview, Perplexity, and Grok (xAI). We add new engines as they reach meaningful market share.

Question 3

How long until I see results?

Accepted Answer

Our action plans are designed to produce measurable improvements in AI mention rate within 30 days. The compounding effects (more articles, more cited content, more engines picking you up) accelerate around the 60–90 day mark.

Question 4

Do I need to install anything on my site?

Accepted Answer

No code, no script, no plugin. You drop your website URL into the audit and Rank Monster does everything externally — the same way an AI assistant would discover you.

Question 5

What does the free audit show me?

Accepted Answer

Your current AEO score across every engine we track, a breakdown of which prompt categories you're winning and losing on, and a sample of the recommendations you'd get on a paid plan. Takes about 60 seconds end to end. No credit card required.

Question 6

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your prompt set, your scores, and your recommendations are visible only to you and your team. Rank Monster is GDPR compliant. We never train AI models on your data.

Question 7

How much does Rank Monster cost?

Accepted Answer

Three plans: Foundation Monster at $87/month (ChatGPT tracking, 50 prompts), Accelerate Monster at $169/month (4 engines, 100 prompts per engine, 20 articles/month, AI traffic analytics), and Authority Monster at $493/month (all 6 engines, 200 prompts per engine, unlimited articles, AI traffic analytics). Every plan bills monthly or yearly with 2 months free, and you can cancel anytime.

Question 8

How is this different from Ahrefs or Semrush?

Accepted Answer

Ahrefs and Semrush are world-class at traditional SEO — keywords, backlinks, ranking in Google's search results. Rank Monster is built specifically for the AI answer layer: how often you actually get recommended when someone asks an AI assistant a question. Most teams use Rank Monster alongside one of those tools, not instead of.
